Authentic Thai food with friendly service. It’s very upscale ambiance and the food usually is served very quick. Mango sticky rice was great. Would recommend a reservation before you head there. We tried duck roti roll and massaman curry with side of roti.

Very upscale interior. Great atmosphere! Food was beautifully presented and tasted great too! Moderate portion. Red curry with Roasted duck was my favorite! It’s not usual to find such great duck quality in NYC! I’m satisfied! Went for Sunday lunch. Not too busy. Lots of seats available.

We made reservations here on a weeknight a couple hours earlier, although we probably would have been okay walking in since there seemed to be plenty of tables, although getting busier. We ordered vegetable dumplings and the crispy garlic shrimp for appetizers. The dumplings seemed to be filled with potatoes. For mains, we had a plate of shrimp pad thai and shrimp pad see ew. Both were very tasty and filling, although the pad see ew was a bit less in terms of quantity. The service was good and we never felt rushed. The atmosphere here is pretty nice but can get a bit noisy.

Adorned with a modern interior and high ceilings, Sabai Thai’s initial impression promises elevated Thai cuisine in an upscale atmosphere. To my disappointment, the food fell way short of expectations. The Khao Pad Kra Pow was plain bad and one of the worst I’ve had. The chicken was bland, the rice was hard, and the egg was overcooked. We also ordered the pineapple duck curry which turned out average. The curry lacked flavor and the duck was generic and unflavored as well. We were originally going to finish with the mango sticky rice which looked amazing in the pictures but decided otherwise based on the dinner. I’d recommend trying out the large selection of other Thai options in NYC, most of which are also cheaper than Sabai. There are tons of great options including Mitr Thai, Pranakhon, and Soothr just to list a few.

Wanted to come here for a few drinks and appetizers. Got the chicken satay and the chicken dumplings which were delicious. Unfortunately when my partner and I ordered the Sukhumvit drink, which is the only drink that states it’s for two, my partner and I took a couple sips and it was gone. I observed the other people’s drinks around me and not even one regular drink would fit into the coconut they brought us for two people. Delicious but very clearly not for two people. We decided to go elsewhere for drinks.
