I’ve gotten food from here quite a few times, usually the same thing and it’s good. This morning I got two chicken empanadas and came home to eat it. My first bite, there was something hard in my mouth, and when I took it out, it was a piece of bone. Not wanting to ruin my first meal of the day I took a few more bites, hoping it was a one time thing, but instead found two more pieces of bone. I didn’t finish the first one and definitely didn’t start the second one. I called the store to let them know since I couldn’t go back in and the woman said “oh I’m so sorry.” Yeah, I’m sorry I could’ve cracked a tooth or choked on a bone too.

We tried this place based on the ratings. It did not exceed our expectations. The food was set up buffet style but cold. We were sold large portions. The beef was tough and the chicken was dry. It was not seasoned to my expectations. I felt robbed even though I left a tip. The staff was very nice. But we were not greeted. They also wore no gloves.

Great little local restaurant. Was staying in Brooklyn for a bit and there’s nothing like these type of spots. Great home cooked type food! Came here twice, once for some quick empanadas for breakfast and the other for lunch. Rotisserie chicken, rice, beans and vegetables for $20(USD). Great price, great portion, great food & great people.

Skip the new chichi places in the neighborhood and experience authentic Latin American soul food from this local stalwart. The cooks are courteous, accessible, and will cook anything anyway you want. The portions are generous and the prices are affordable. There are tasty vegetarian dishes options too.

I used to have good recommendations for this restaurant but, they really don't put effort into providing better customer service. I just paid $13.00 for this and my customer's experience was horrific.
